Food Pantry Delivery

Volunteering to deliver the Food Pantry Collection is key to keeping this vital ministry alive! All of our food, hygiene and monetary donations go to the DMARC Food Pantry Network. Across Polk County, DMARC annually provides the equivalent of about 1.6 million meals for 34,000 food pantry participants through 13 neighborhood-based pantry sites. Supporting DMARC is one of the many ways Westminster is committed to fighting hunger and poverty in our community.

Food Pantry collections happen every 3rd Sunday of the month, regardless of holidays. Donations will be ready for pickup on a rolling cart. There should be a small piece of paper attached to or sitting on top of the donations with an item count. Give this to the person at the pantry facility who receives the donations. If delivering on a SUNDAY or AFTER REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS, take donations to the front desk at: Central Iowa Shelter & Services 1420 Mulberry Street, Des Moines, IA 50309. If delivering DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS, take donations to: DMARC Food Pantry 1435 Mulberry Street, Des Moines, IA 50309. Please request a receipt for the donations. Return the receipt to the church office the next time you are at the church.

Please contact Lisa Anderson at (515) 274-1534 with any questions.
